Lovely hanging with you two (not to mention my new buddy Oksana). And this is very helpful indeed!

When I read this I can’t but imagine the brainstorms behind them.. and I’d be curious who were the event companies behind ‘executing’ these brand experiences. Looks like some of them might need lessons in exactly that…

The empty AI Sandbox and the Snapchat disaster are the same failure wearing different outfits: built to show off, not to be used. You said it best, build for what people want. And what people wanted, apparently, was AC, a cold towel, and someone to introduce them to a stranger. The brands that spent on spectacle got walked past. The ones that spent on the tired human in front of them won the week. Cannes as a referendum on airflow.

Truly. And it’s a small miracle this entire podcast wasn’t 100% about airflow. It was all I could think about.

The creators need the live experience to have the physical place and design worthy setting to create from. Experiential has always been the ultimate staging ground for great content. The experience comes first, the great content is the natural byproduct. Funny though, the credit and conversation is not around the producers and designers of the experiences themselves!
